Getting green fingers

Central London is a little low on vegetable gardens so we headed off to Hughenden Manor in Buckinghamshire which was once the home of Victorian Prime Minister Disraeli who once said...
"A good eater must be a good man; for a good eater must have a good digestion, and a good digestion depends upon a good conscience."

They have opened up Disraeli's walled kitchen garden where Freddie could work on developing good digestion/conscience/eating habits by seeing chard in all its glory growing in the soil. So overwhelmed was he by this experience he sat back and let his sister do all the digging and planting.

We have just stumbled across this blog - and have been hooked. Freddie is meeting the great big vegetable challenge like a man - Disraeli would be proud of him. Keep it up, you are an example to us all!!

My son Troy, who is 5, is much in love with your blog. Thank you for all the hard work you are putting in to diversify your eating!

I love this recipe, especially with lots and lots of parmesan cheese and big fat hunks of garlic bread:

Freddie sends Troy a big hello and hopes that he likes some of the recipes. He thinks the best is Courgette Quesadillas and beetroot and chocolate cake!

Chard is so good but bitter! Needs to be put into yummy Asian food with honey or sugar and soy sauce.

    Good luck to you guys!
